Signs & Signals #001 | Pisces Season
March’s astrology has more drama than a reality TV finale.
Signs & Signals is DREAMWEAVING’s new astrology digest, offering key insights into the cosmic currents and energetic shifts shaping the season ahead.
Today, we’re breaking down the key dates for Pisces season, laying bare the truth of March’s astrology, and talking our sh*t now that Mars retrograde is (almost) done terrorizing us. But before we get started, here are the dates to remember:
Important Dates for Pisces Season:
February 18 — Sun Enters Pisces
February 23 — Mars Direct in Cancer
February 27 — New Moon in Pisces
March 1 — Venus Retrograde in Aries
March 3 — Mercury Enters Aries
March 13 — Lunar Eclipse in Virgo
March 14 — Mercury Retrograde in Aries
March 20 — Sun Enters Aries
This Pisces season will have more twists and turns than a Bravo cheating scandal—or even a Survivor tribal council where three people are secretly holding immunity idols, and someone doesn’t realize they’re going homeeee. And if you're not up to speed on the current reality TV landscape, this might feel a little Girl So Confusing, but stick with me—you’ll get where I’m going with this storyline.
But first, I need to vent. I’ve seen too many astrologers online trying to convince everyone that this March isn’t a bit unusual. They’re warning against “fear-mongering” and saying it’s actually a great time to manifest your wildest dreams, so don’t worry about it. I’m unsure what cosmic influence some of you are under, but spare me the snobbery! Everyone wants to be different for clicks and views. No astrologer worth their salt would sit there with a straight face and tell you that two retrogrades during an eclipse season is a chill, cool vibe. But hey, to each their own.
Back to the reality television metaphor. Imagine you’re producing the final episode of a hot, hot, hot show, and you know it needs to be a big hit. Multiple storylines need resolution, old grudges to address, scores to settle, secrets to air out, relationships to mend, and situationships to end. You need to wrap everything up before the new season starts casting in the Spring, and you don’t want any unnecessary mess from this season to spill over. That’s where we are with Pisces season.
On one hand, you know drama’s coming because you’re already aware of all the tension between the key players. Let’s be real—when you throw a bunch of superstars together (Venus retrograde, Mercury retrograde, eclipses), you’re signing up for serious high conflict and entertainment. Messy? Definitely. But that’s exactly what the viewers tuned in for. On the other hand, nobody wants to be the one in the hot seat, which is why I think so many of us are in denial about what’s about to go down.
Here’s what the stars know: retrogrades are not the time to start something new. Hard to believe we still need to say that, right? (Yeah, I’m side-eyeing those out there selling false hope like a reality TV showmance promising "happily ever after" once the cameras stop rolling). Feels nice to believe the sweet nothings people whisper in your ear, right? But spoiler alert: it won’t save you from the reality check March has in store.
Maybe I’m the villain in the confessional of this extended reality TV metaphor—yeah, you won’t love what I have to say when you watch the playback, but you’ll be thinking, damn, she had a point. And I do! Because I don’t want you to miss your chance to make the most of this astrological weather. Intense energy doesn’t mean it’s all bad, but can’t a girl just say it looks exhausting without being accused of not playing nice?
Venus and Mercury retrograde will hang out together for the next few weeks, moving between Aries and Pisces. They will stir up all sorts of feelings about our emotional desires, love lives, dreams for the future, and how we communicate those things.
Right now, we’re caught up in the fiery passion, but is what we’re building for the future even realistic? And the real question: is one person doing all the work while the other just coasts? You might not like the answer, and depending on how people react to what you're putting out there, keeping your cool might be a challenge. Don’t be afraid to have a Love Island-style meltdown if it means showing someone who wronged you that you’re not here for that.
Of course... we can’t act surprised if we end up on the receiving end of a confrontation, too!
Here’s another thing the stars know: eclipses are chaotic and unpredictable. They’re tricky to pin down energetically, and this upcoming eclipse season is especially important because it marks the end of the Aries-Libra cycle that’s been shaping our energy for the past few years (March 29 — Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Aries).
We’re wrapping up a storyline, but that doesn’t mean we’re completely leaving people behind. Aries and Libra are all about balancing what we expect from ourselves with what we need from others. You’ve probably been working on your own growth—whether it’s letting go of the “I’ve got to do it all myself” mentality or learning to ask for help when necessary. It’s all about healthy relationships—finding that perfect balance where you’re not too enmeshed or too independent.
And, of course, with Mars retrograde finally behind us after a couple of months of suppressed energy, even Andy Cohen couldn’t script the level of theatrics coming our way. Everyone’s feeling their energy return, and the urge to speak our minds has never been stronger. Think tears, waterworks, sharp words, apologies, forgiveness, breakups, and moving on—big emotions everywhere.
Retrogrades are all about reacting to what’s circling back into our lives, while eclipses nudge us back on track when we’ve strayed too far from our destined path. The real question isn’t what to do—it’s how to handle things when they get chaotic. You can only control your reactions, boundaries, and who gets access to your energy. And if you do lose your cool, just keep smiling for the camera.
